CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Last Updated October 2007

Stephen MilesAs Chairman of the Manchester Hoteliers Association I would like to welcome you to our website and take this opportunity to introduce you to our association.

The MHA was set up to establish an association that would support our industry with the highest quality of services and resources available to ensure that it remains a powerful force within commerce and industry. Through the years the association has evolved in meeting and growing and changing needs of its members and their city. The association now acts as a voice of the hotel industry within Greater Manchester and is represented by more than 40 members who are responsible for generating £250 Million of revenue into the city, we employ almost 5000 people and provide 6000 bedrooms along with 50,000 square meters of conference space. Members include all grades of hotels who develop and support both leisure and commercial markets into the region.

The association meets on a monthly basis to share relevant information which may affect the industry whilst maintaining and enhancing the reputation of local hoteliers and to ensure that we are presented within all major initiatives within the Northwest. Stephen Miles.
