Manchester Central is seeking a Sales and Business Development Manager to strengthen and expand its client base. You will be an experienced salesperson with a proven track record in winning business at a world class level.

Working with the sales, marketing, operations, catering and facilities teams, you will progress the Manchester Central brand as ‘best in class’ by ensuring the highest quality of work is consistently produced. You will be skilled at writing in-depth sales reports, monitoring sales metrics and implementing plans and strategies while simultaneously identifying and winning business in our key markets.

Your experience in the business tourism industry means you will be able to recognise business development opportunities and work with other members of the Manchester Central team to optimise them. A natural leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the sales team and the Manchester Central Hospitality sales team produce accurate sales records, maximise sales and continue to portray the venue as ‘best in class’.

Manchester Central Hospitality is the in-house catering division for the venue, supplying food and beverages to Manchester Central’s customer base. Delivering everything from banquets for 4,000 to finger buffets for 40, the hospitality team provides a high level of service to ensure Manchester Central is consistently considered by its customers as “best in class”.

Catering is one of the key components of a successful event and delivering an ever increasing number of high profile events is critical to the future of Manchester Central. This is where you come in! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Sales Executive, responsible for developing and attracting increased food and beverages sales at the Venue.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and tenacious sales professional, who delivers against deadlines and exceeds agreed targets. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be an excellent communicator, demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude. Experience of the hospitality or events industry would be an advantage.
